Director and founder of Social Science Works is Hans Blokland. Team-members are Mirjam Neebe, Zak Reimer and Philipp Bautz. Various interns and visiting scholars additionally are part of our team.

Prof. Dr. Hans Blokland

Hans Blokland is a Dutch social and political scientist and philosopher, currently living in Potsdam, Germany. He can be reached here: hans.blokland@socialscienceworks.org

Mirjam Neebe MA

Mirjam Neebe studied sociology and philosophy at the University of Potsdam and environmental management with a focus on political science at the Free University of Berlin.

Arjun Joshi MA

Arjun Joshi holds a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and is a UK Government funded Chevening Scholar.

Zak Reimer MA

Zak Reimer was a German Chancellor Fellow from the Humboldt Foundation conducting research at Social Science Works into grassroots refugee integration efforts in Germany.

Philipp Bautz MA

Philipp Bautz is particularly interested in two topics. The first is the environment. That is why he researches how people live together with their environment.

Eline Sap MA

Eline Sap was a Masterstudent from the Netherlands, working from september 2024 onwards at Social Science Works as an intern. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Pedagogical Sciences at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen

Ali Ghaznawi BA

Ali Ghaznawi was born in 1988 in Kabul. He studied computer science and is a graphic designer and web developer. In 2007, Ali was introduced to the world of computers and became fascinated with graphic design software.
