Digital Language and Administrative Bridge for Refugees in Shelter Facilities
The Federal Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees, and Integration has awarded Social Science Works the project “Digital Language and Administrative Bridge for Refugees in Shelter Facilities.” The goal of the project is to use AI to combat the enormous bureaucratic hurdles faced by refugees arriving in Germany and attempting to integrate. Furthermore, the project aims to ease the burden on all those working on the reception and integration of new arrivals, from social workers in refugee shelters to employees at government agencies such as the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, the employment office, and the social welfare office. The aim is to free all those involved from sluggish and exhausting bureaucracy and to drastically accelerate the integration of newcomers. A team of about ten people with diverse disciplinary backgrounds—AI specialists, social workers, and social and political scientists—will be working on the project. More information about the project can be found on this page.
