Last week, representatives from Social Science Works (our fellows Sahba, Yamen, Laila and Anjali) joined a Youth Leadership training organised by the Mentor organisation from Croatia. The event has been part of the project “Building Inclusive Societies” and within the framework of Erasmus+ programmes. The project is a partnership between four NGOs consisting of Mentor (Croatia), Agora Aveiro (Portugal), Psychosocial Innovation Network (Serbia), and Social Science Works (Germany). Four people from each country met in the city of Split and discussed educating young people as agents of change for future. The training involved different activities and discussions around youth leadership characteristics, effective communication, global citizenship and active participation in local communities. Participants also exchanged experiences of their organisation’s work in the communities and learnt about one another’s different types of activities and approaches.
