With the generous support of the municipality of Rangsdorf we started a long cycle of workshops with migrants living in the two refugee homes in this town, South of Berlin. We discuss themes like democracy, freedom, emancipation, pluralism, civil society, identity, discrimination, racism, honor, gender equality, masculinity, homosexuality, the social and psychological consequences of waiting and idleness, the peculiarities of German culture, and the mutual fears of natives and migrants. With the support of the German Red Cross and the Partnerschaft für Demokratie in the Landkreis Teltow-Fläming we have also continued our deliberations in the refugee home in Wünsdorf, Brandenburg. Mit der großzügigen Unterstützung der Gemeinde Rangsdorf begannen wir einen langen Zyklus von Workshops mit Migrantinnen und Migranten, die in den beiden Flüchtlingsheimen in dieser Stadt südlich von Berlin leben. Wir diskutieren Themen wie Demokratie, Freiheit, Emanzipation, Pluralismus, Zivilgesellschaft, Identität, Diskriminierung, Rassismus, Ehre, Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter, Männlichkeit, Homosexualität, die sozialen und psychologischen Folgen des Wartens und Müßiggangs, die Besonderheiten der deutschen Kultur und die gegenseitigen Ängste von Einheimischen und Migranten. Mit Unterstützung des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes und der Partnerschaft für Demokratie im Landkreis Teltow-Fläming haben wir unsere Deliberationen auch im Flüchtlingsheim im brandenburgischen Wünsdorf fortgesetzt.
