Last Monday, we started in Koblenz our Project “Deliberationsschulungen zur Stärkung der Demokratie“. The deliberations are organized by the Kreisverwaltung Mayen-Koblenz and are supported by the European Union. Some of the participants volunteered for a “Bewerbungsfoto”. Together with the participants, mostly civil servants active in many different spheres (Youth Welfare Office, Job Centers, General Administration, Consumer Agency, Integration Office) we deliberate and practice how to deliberate with citizens, new and old. The topics are, among others, democracy and deliberation, freedom and emancipation, identity, gender equality, discrimination, racism, homophobia.
